1. Stage

From pre-product to $1m in ARR

Startmate is the ideal springboard for your business from pre-product stage until you’ve raised a Series A. We accelerate your learning — marketing, sales, product — and if you’re ready to raise it’s the perfect platform to meet the best VC funds, family offices and angels in Australia.

SYD19 is a prime example of when in your journey Startmate can add the most value.

Pre-product — Muso launched their marketplace halfway through the program and it has been growing 50%+ MoM since.

This reminded us of the success of Making Things from the SYD18 cohort who launched their maker marketplace during Startmate and soon raised 1m in funding — read Megan sharing her journey here.

Up to $1m ARR — LIGR joined with annual revenue of ~$0.5m was able to extend those contracts for up to 3 years, secure new ones in and lock in their next phase of growth.

When LIGR started with us they felt similar to Work180 which joined SYD18 after bootstrapping the business for 3 years to $1m in ARR. They were also able to quickly raise $1m within a couple of weeks of starting the program even before Demo Day — see the SMH article here.

2. Industry

Each company is in a different industry
