2021 was a great year for me and my business.

We managed to scale, position ourselves on the market, grow the community, get clients, partner up with new organisations, and expand our operations in Portugal and Croatia.

But all this growth didn’t come without a few mistakes and tough lessons along the way.

Me planning projects for the next year

This journey has been unbelievably challenging, but I’m glad we went through it together as a community.

In this article, I’d like to share with you 4 lessons I’ve learned from building and scaling my online copywriting business and brand Startup Adventures.

Consistency Is the Key

Consistency can be the single most important thing to make sure your business is running smoothly.

“Your audience wants consistency.

Consistency builds trust.

And trust helps you sell your products and services.”

It’s as simple as that. However, sometimes it can be challenging to actually stick to the schedule and deliver content every week when you’re doing it as a side project.

In my case, the Startup Blender Podcast was the project that helped me realize how important it can be to stick with the schedule. In the beginning, I would skip some weeks to publish an episode, and then I would randomly post them when I was ready.

Working consistently on my podcast

Then I learned that Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and other modern algorithms don’t really appreciate that!

Plus, it is hard to gain momentum and build your audience that way. You should find the schedule that works for you and stick with it. That’s why I publish episodes bi-weekly now because I know how much preparations and planning I need for each episode.

Probably, I will continue making this mistake in 2022 as well, but take it as advice from me.
