We are a small startup working on a little gadget that will turn any smartphone into a water sterilization device.
This is the start of a weekly column covering the highs and the lows of bootstrapping our startup, Purifyy.
Well, the main aim is to get some traction prior to our product launch. To successfully launch a product, having strong community support is paramount. Starting a blog is one, low cost, way of getting the word out. Keeping in mind things won’t happen overnight, it’s a good idea to start at least 6 months prior to launch; in fact, it’s never too early.
This will also serve as a record of our startup journey, unadulterated by the passage of time. Success or failure, one day we can look back on this experience with fond memories. And if our highs and lows might serve as sign posts and assist others in their startup journeys as well, that would be a bonus.

(Special shout out to Nicholas Wright from AppInstruct http://appinstruct.com/ for encouraging us to start blogging about our startup.)
