That’s right, Startup Boston (organized last year as Boston Startup Week) is taking over Cambridge and Boston September 10th — 14th, and we couldn’t be more excited! We have designed 50+ events specifically to connect you to thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors within Boston’s startup scene, and to help you start and scale your company.

All of the players in Boston’s startup scene are coming together — we have an A+ list of speakers, including startup founders and scaleup leaders, industry experts, and venture capitalists.

A true community-driven effort, there are also some generous organizations that are dedicating time and resources to help us create an event program that gives you, the attendee, a great experience. A huge shout out to Salesforce for sponsoring us for a second year. Entrepreneurs are often challenged to find platforms that help them offer amazing customer experiences as they grow, and Salesforce’s CRM made specifically for small businesses and startups does just that. We also want to thank Justworks for their sponsorship. Justworks makes it easy to manage payroll, benefits, HR, and compliance, all in one place. We’re grateful for all that you do to support entrepreneurs.

The Burning Question: What’s new that you should look forward to this year?

Glad you asked! Earlier this spring we launched our first Ask Me Anything session at one of our preview events (featuring the incredible David Chang!), and the audience response was overwhelmingly positive!

Therefore, we have some very exciting Ask Me Anythings lined up for Startup Boston.

Unlike a traditional Q&A, a handful of participants from the audience will have time allotted to truly engage in a conversation with an industry expert, while the rest of us listen and learn from their candid conversation. Check these events out, and don’t forget to submit your questions so that you can have some 1-on-1 time with the expert:

Tech Cofounders, Startup CTOs, and Those Aspiring with Elias Torres

Content Marketing for Startups with Katie Martell

Bootstrapping a Startup to Scale with Todd Garland

How to Build a Successful App with Greg Raiz

Increasing User Engagement with Vanessa Ferranto

ADDITIONALLY, we will be hosting a number of lightning talk events, where speakers will present for 5-minutes around a tactic they developed or strategy they mastered, followed by 5-minutes of audience Q&A. This is a great way to really dive deep into a specific topic. Check out our lightning talk events below:

AND, our Pitch Feedback Workshop is back by popular demand! This is a great way for entrepreneurs who are either considering or actively reaching out to investors to:

  1. Practice delivering a pitch in front of an audience and investors and
  2. Learn what needs work in their pitch — whether it’s the delivery or the content they’re providing in their deck.
