  1. Checklist

Imagine a dog owner coming across a list titled, “10 products that will make your dog the happiest dog in the world.”

Dog owners will most likely scan the list and either sign up for more content or buy items on the checklist.

Either way, it works really well both as something that’s informing and something that can up-sell.

2. Cheat Sheet

Some of my content marketing cheat sheet examples:

- Why most people get content marketing wrong.

- What you can do to do it differently.

- The essentials for getting ideas and executing

3. Template

Templates are basically, “How to …”

Give people engaging and easy content to follow.

Example: “How to prepare for a job interview and smash it.”

- How to prepare before

- Bring a small gift

- Follow up after

4. Swipe File

You can do a swipe file of “The 20 best social media blog posts ever🚀” You can copy, assimilate and create your own amazing work.

Examples:

5 case studies of the best in our market and how you can copy what they do right

Rich people always do these 3 things before breakfast

EVERYONE loves these

It’s like the underlying factor of Business Insider.

These posts get unbelievable clicks. It’s utter nonsense, but it works to convert an incredible amount of people.

5. Script

Let’s say you’re in the sales niche. You could do a script that converts someone from a cold lead into someone who loves what you’re doing.

6. Toolkit 🛠

Create a toolkit that your target market will love.

For example, the digital marketing niche.

Everything from rescue times so you don’t spend too much time on reddit or Facebook, to turning off your push notifications by using a certain app.

7. Web app or sub-site

If you’re trying to get app clients, you could build a site where people submit their apps and you get real people to try them out, review them, give feedback and gain extra users.

8. Calendar 📆

If you’re in the food niche, you can create a food calendar/journal that they can fill in everyday.

9. Planner

E.g. Meal planner if you’re in the food niche.

What do you notice about all of these lead magnets?

None of them are like, “The complete guide to social media marketing!”

⚠️People don’t want a 5000 word lead magnet⚠️

People want bullets, bullets are value.

Deliver value in a unique and actionable way which will capture people’s attention.

What is the best (or worst) thing you’ve ever received from a lead magnet. Comment below 👇🏻
