We all are looking for ways to communicate more effectively. In my work life, I’ve recieved one too many emails that are immediately followed up with a text, walk by word vomit (colloquially, wbwv) or Slack message.
So I am out.
I have set an email rule to respond to any @myworkemail.com with
Thank you for trying to communicate with me like it’s 2006. However, it is no longer 2006. Please use Slack. #itsokifyourmomstillemailsme
A little coarse yes, but I would like the recipient to question their action. Even if it is for their subconscience.
