Tbilisi opens its doors for seed-stage startups from Georgia and all the neighbouring countries, starting with CEE, through Turkey and Kazakhstan.

2. World Congress on Information Technology (Armenia)

On 7–9 October, three thousand of the world’s top technology and business leaders, investors and policymakers, including very prominent keynote speakers, will gather in Yerevan for the 23rd World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT).

As part of that effort, for the first time in 40 years, WCIT will host three sets of “Lightning Rounds” competition showcasing 15 startups from all over the world. They will take place on 3 days of the WCIT event: Oct 7, 8, 9. Jury members will be prominent representatives of global tech. Startups will have the opportunity to pitch before top tech leaders such as Gary Vaynerchuk, Alexis Ohanian, Narayana Murthy and many others.

Winners will be awarded by “Armenian Tech Community Prize”. Each day is going to have 5 participants and 2 winners: First place winner with the prize of $25K, and Second place winner with the prize of $10K. The total prize fund is 105,000 USD. All the winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of WCIT in Yerevan.

3. Startup networking event in Tashkent

Dates: 15–16 October

Startups interested in Uzbekistan and Central Asia market, this is your chance!

ITU and Ministry of ICT of Uzbekistan is organizing startup networking event in Tashkent on 15–16 October.

There will be representatives from the Central Asia, Caucasus, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus.

Participation in the event is free of charge. ITU is not covering travel expenses for startups or investors.
