Dallas Startup Week 2019

Connecting and Uniting Entrepreneurs Across the City

The startup game in Dallas is no joke — it is big business. This year’s five-day Dallas Startup Week event will mobilize more than 10,000 entrepreneurs across the city. More than 150 events and sessions have been designed to connect and unite startups, founders, corporate and social innovators, investors, and community leaders. If you’re an entrepreneur you need to check the event out. Regardless of your particular interest or identity there will be sessions or tracks for you. Here are just a few of the Special Interest Meetups (SIMs) specifically scheduled for the first day of Dallas Startup Week (April 1st).

You can get tickets for any of these events by visiting Eventbrite (just use the search feature and enter the title). The most astute entrepreneurs will note that all of these particular SIMs occur at the same time and place on of all days — April 1st. I created these “fun” SIMs in keeping with my love of April Fools Pranks (remember that time we got Mark Cuban to fund a fake company and got on CNBC) and the ethos of Startup Week (to connect and unite startup founders). There are so many people in the world that work to divide us based on our identities or interests — perhaps during this one week every year we should focus on one thing we all have in common — STARTUPS — leaving our differences behind. Hope to see you at Dallas Startup Week AND at the Quarterbar on April 1st…
