If there is one key takeaway for companies and organizations having gone through the pandemic, it is that what got you here isn’t going to get you there. From retail to transportation all the way through to healthcare and logistics- nearly every major industry has been impacted and fundamentally changed as a result. If organizations want any chance of surviving in the new era, it is mission-critical to adopt innovation. Companies that embrace new product development and process redesign have a significantly higher chance of not only staying relevant but also developing new revenue streams that, in some cases, may end up replacing existing core business functions.

Most organizations want to participate in the innovation ecosystem, but most don’t know how. It’s hard enough for dedicated entrepreneurs to bring new ideas to life but it’s nearly impossible for slow-moving corporations given the lack of resources, risk adversity, and abundance of red tape.

This is why corporations are partnering with Startup Studios (also known as Venture Builders or Venture Studios) to supplement their innovation efforts. As a startup studio expert and someone who spends a lot of time analyzing trends across the ecosystem, I have seen the growing popularity of Studios adding corporate innovation services to their suite of offerings.
