#BSW15 Startup Stories — Trent Hein & Ned McClain Founders of AppliedTrust
Join Trent Hein and Ned McClain above for an intimate conversation about their business, AppliedTrust, taped during Boulder Startup Week. Founded in 2011, AppliedTrust is an IT consulting firm that specializes in the areas of
infrastructure, security, and DevOps. The company serves large and
small clients in a variety of industries, including hospitality,
healthcare, financial services, recreation, and government.
Watch above to see Hein and McClain chat about IT security, how important it is and our society, and how AppliedTrust has always been customer-founded. They also discuss how they made the unique decision to be an open-book business, or what Trent refers to as having “radical transparency.” The founders of AppliedTrust believe being open book creates a real sense of fairness, especially since they have 30 people looking over their shoulder, everyday. To hear more about running an open-book company, watch above and as McClain suggests, read “The Great Game of Business” by Jack Stack. Learn more about AppliedTrust here.
Thank you to everyone to supported Boulder Startup Week 2015! We look forward to seeing you all next year, May 13–19 for Boulder Startup Week 2016.
