So you are probably thinking about how we came up with this idea and what Viralit actually is . Firstly, it is of great importance to focus on the idea ‘’birth’’. Everyone nowadays would like to see his ‘’content’’ going viral because viral means success, or in other words viral is equivalent to success. Taking into consideration that success is the ultimate goal for everyone, we aimed for disrupting the ‘’viral process’’.
We tracked in detail the viral organic process and found out that what profoundly misses from this process is the frame that would enable us to track, measure and analyze each little step of how something goes viral.
And Viralit , is what we came up with . Viralit is a social content battle arena delivered through a gamified experience. Viralit is targeted both to public and professional users.
Viralit aims firstly for providing everyone with a viral opportunity through democratizing the viral process with the implementation of a unique voting system. For example, an awesome but not yet wide-known musician — artist facing difficulties promoting his original content could viral suggest his newest creation and discover the viralness success through seeing it charting at the top 10 viral. Secondly, tracking measuring and analyzing the data collected we will provide business with viral insights and reports. Last but not least, providing everyone with the ability to discover, through a quick tap of the viral top 10 chart button, the best content of the web.
In plain words, users of the platform/app make viral suggestions ( links or original content video , text ,audio ) and then the audience (which consists of the total platform users ) upvote (viralit) or downvote (unviralit ) them . For each successful viral suggestion, the user gains viral coins which can use to promote freely his/her own content in the platform . A top 10 viral charts per genre and per country will reveal the top ‘’contestants”.

Startup Weekend Entrepreneurial Journalism was an astonishing experience for the team. Apart from providing us with the ability to present in public our idea, it was the mixture of mentoring, meaningful coaching and toolset availability, that definitely set the event apart. In addition to this, we strongly believe that despite it being a 3 day ongoing challenge, it is the absolute tester of an idea’s and team’s credibility. Jeremy Caplan’s and the rest of the coaches mentoring was of undisputable quality and widen our idea’s horizon. Lastly, Startup Weekend Entrepreneurial Journalism was a great meetup — networking event where we discovered our next best partners or even friends.

Startup Weekend Entrepreneurial Journalism has been a great start for Viralit. We are currently looking into our next steps while focusing on improving every aspect — detail of our idea until our next milestone. UX is of high importance to us and we are trying hard to innovate on this field as much as we can .Definitely interested for more partners and steadily open to every suggestion or amendment.
