Why I’m writing my book

I’m currently busy writing my first book Startupism. As with everything I do, there is a ‘why’ behind this book. Let me tell you all about it.

Sharing what I’ve learned 📘

I’ve founded multiple startups over the past decade, some successful, others not. I’ve built and bid farewell to teams because I wanted to continue as a digital nomad. I’m currently the founder of three startups with nearly $1.000.000 in annual profit. By sharing what I’ve learned while building my startups, I hope to help you on the road to creating your own successful business.

In Startupism, I will talk about all the things that went right and wrong. More importantly, I will talk about the things I wish I’d known before venturing off on my own. It’s not just about the idea behind your startup; equally important is how you play the game as a founder. You see, the term ‘startupism’ sounds a bit philosophical and that’s because it is. Founding a startup comes from the heart and is guided by your mind and all of the steps you take.

Startupism philosophy 🌱

We all know someone who’s claimed to have the next big idea. So why didn’t they end up pursuing it? Simple: because of our tendency to overthink things. We stress about A and Z and totally forget about B through Y. Nothing is an overnight success, which means you’ll have to go step by step. Founding a startup is less like driving a Ferrari on Route 66 and more like driving a jeep in the Dakar Rally. The road will be bumpy and in Startupism I will happily join you on this journey.

What can you expect? 🤔

Startupism will contain everything you need to know to THINK, BUILD and ACT like a startup founder. You will learn how to come up with an idea for your startup and how to find your first customers. Once you gain traction and start focusing on growth, you will learn how to find funding, how to build a team and everything that comes with creating your own startup.

When can you expect it?
Startupism will be available in both paperback and as an official ebook on my website and on Amazon. I expect to finish and release it later this year.

Startupism

We all know people who say “I had this one big idea”. But why didn’t they end up building it? Simple. We all overthink too much. We’re stressing over A, obsessing over Z, but forgetting about B to Y. Nothing is an overnight success and you’ll have to start, step by step.
