Let’s Drink An “Open Coffee”

May 24th. Day: Friday. Place: Benaki Museum. All the Greek start-up community, aspiring start-ups, as well as those interested in entrepreneurship in Greece met for the last “Open Coffee” of the year. If you are wondering what “Open Coffee” is, know that the name can give you an idea. It is an event where enthusiasts of entrepreneurship start-up are in the same place to learn from established start-ups what is the key to success. Something like that we did as students of “Ad & Pr Lab” at Panteion University.

On that particular evening, we were fortunate to watch Mr. Christos Spatharakis, CEO of “Ferryhopper”, Mr. Fotis Talantzis, Co-Founder of “Novoville”, and Mr. Stathis Koutsogoros, CEO & Founder of “Radiojar”.

Ferryhopper:

A group of young people, whose mission is to make your coastal movements carefree and relaxed like a summer breeze, because it simply thinks that a voyage is one of the most entertaining phases of holidays. It helps you organize your holidays easily and overcome the difficulties that made your voyage difficult, irritating or complicated. The goal is to become a real ferryhopper, to travel easily from island to island without puzzling about the route, enjoying the journey.

Novoville:

Novoville is a participatory platform for serving everyday citizens’ requests, communication, participation and interaction between the Municipality and the Citizen. The centerpiece is the man and, more specifically, the Citizen. Novoville is a multi-tool, simple and user-friendly, with unlimited possibilities for municipal services. Their motto: Powerful Cities, Empowered Citizens.

RadioJar:

Radiojar was launched in 2013 with the vision of empowering radio stations progressing into the internet cloud era. Using cloud computing and distributed architecture, the company offers cloud first solutions with infinite scalability. It focuses on two major technology fields, cloud play-out and digital audio delivery. As a technology provider, Radiojar addresses challenges and deliver solutions for traditional FM / AM, media groups, web only radio stations, music providers, in-store music solutions and service providers around audio. Last year, the company was acquired by American Colossus, “iHeartMedia”.

Following the progress of these successful Start-Upers, we learned:

How to Create a Successful Business

Which stages we need to go through

How to strategically present our idea correctly

How to promote the business’s content.

What can make us stand out in the Greek (and not only) market.

Thank You!
