PRocrADstinators / “TERRASMUSIC”

Our team is named PRocrADstinators and we are , Maria Hanioti , Vicki Gatsiou , Aristea Papadopoulou , Eirini Tsavou , Antzela Gkolikai and Mpleona Tzaka , Angela Douka.

We decided to team up to create , share and influence each other.

DAY 1

We gathered together to discuss of the possible Startup Ideas we had. We wanted to make sure that we would create something unique and useful so this would have the opportunity to be successful.First of all, wanting to focus on a young people’s problem, we have discovered that we all have a common problem, which is the mb. It’s never enough to do what we want and it’s not so easy to refresh them so often. Also, looking to search a little bit more about the radio, we found that most of the texts on the internet were saying that Radio in the future will survive only via the internet. So our initial idea for our Start-up was to create a page (Donated by ant1) that can be logged in and listening to Radio and watching shows without using mb. No extra MB would be needed to be consumed from the telecommunication program the customers would be using. The AD for this idea would be on the most popular social media such as Instagram and Facebook.

DAY 2

Again gathering altogether in a public cafe we began discussing the possible startup idea. We followed the Value Proposition canvas model bussiness to answer the most blazing questions about the customers , their profit , the advantages and the disadvantages of this idea and how WE the founders would overcome the problems and focus on the profitable side.

DAY 3

We started to build Start-up in electronic form (PowerPoint) and carton (model) according to the model of business model canvas. Having decided what the main parts of the startup will be on Day 3 we began to “put our thoughts on the paper”.
We designed the value proposition canvas and business model canvas on board with all their main parts.
We placed stickers with all the highlights of our idea and in general we made an impressive and three-dimensional board.

DAY 4“PRESENTATION DAY”

We were anxiously waiting to present our idea because we wanted to receive Feedback and comments from our classmates and the supervising teachers in order to improve the idea and correct the mistakes that get us behind in implementing it.

SETBACK

We presented this idea to Mrs. Betty Tsakarestou and she guided us pointing out our mistakes and stating that this idea had a basic foundations but it was not a sustainable startup business. The Feedback we received were not as positive as we did not calculate a very important piece, which was the revenue. Our idea was incomplete as we did not find a way to make revenue. This setback did disappoint us a little bit because we thought the idea was manageable but did not held us back in creating something NEW and exciting.

DAY 5

Realizing that we cannot bring this idea to life we drooped it. We began to think of what interests The Young today the most. “Music” of course. So we began brainstorming the next startup idea that could actually be sustainable this time. At the beginning it was once again difficult because we began from scratch. Having NO startup ideas at all.

DAY 6

Influenced by two members of the group who are going to go Erasmus soon we tried to see if we can connect voyage travels and music. So we came up with an idea of an APP. An app that is available for android and IOs.

THE STARTUP IDEA

We have seen that either people who go to Erasmus or people who just want to travel to a new country have a common problem, they know almost nothing about the culture and culture of the country. So we decided to help these people learn everything about the country they want in a more innovative way, which is none other than music. This App is going to be called “Terrasmusic”. It contains the most popular songs on every European’s country’s charts. For example if a student travels to Italy the App will showcase the most popular Italian songs . There are also will be lyrics so the songs will be understandable and some information about the country’s sights and history , as well as the most versatile places. This App focuses mainly on students and young people that travel a lot and is a grat way for someone to practice a language and become more familiar with it. Erasmus students are definitely favored!!

DAY 7

Once again we built the Start-up in electronic form (PowerPoint) and in carton (model) according to the model of business model canvas. We created a new value and business proposition canvas with all the details for our new idea. We all realized this could be a good startup idea because it was much more founded and restrained. Τhe structure of the idea was more profitable and made us realizing we were on a good path.

DAY 8 “PRESENTATION DAY”

With much more confidence now that our startup is sustainable we headed towards the Laboratory having rehearsed before altogether. We really wanted our idea to be good and manageable. AND we were right. The supervising teachers after our presentation gave us the feedback that we needed to conclude our idea , and they seemed quite satisfied with our project
saying encouragingly to us that we need to focus more on the Erasmus students and what’s more could be added to the App to make it even more interesting. In the end we were satisfied and happy ready to reach to the very end and present a fully complete Startup business.

DAY 9 “CONSTRUCTION”

We started to develop our idea by investing in the Erasmus section as requested. WE HAVE AN APP WHICH IS ABOUT STUDENTS INTERESTED IN ERASMUS AND IN GENERAL PEOPLE AGED 18–30 . THE APP CONTAINS THE TOP 10 SONGS FROM EACH EUROPEAN COUNTRY ALONG WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE HISTORY AND THE MOST POPULAR PLACES. IT ALSO CONTAINS LYRICS OF EACH SONG WITH THE CORRESPONDING TRANSLATION OF EACH FOREIGN NATIONALITY.

THE TRANSLATION IS HELPING STUDENTS TO COME CLOSER TO THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE THEY WANT TO LEARN.

THE APP CONTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT THE CULTURE , ENTERTAINMENT , SOCIAL CONTACT.

UNIQUE APP

This App is unique therefore there is no competition. We targeted the correct people (mainly Erasmus students). As a feedback Mrs. Tsakarestou and her partners stated that our idea is great but we needed to focus more on Erasmus students and to add more information that cover the needs of the students during their stay there. The first 100 people that will download the App get to win a three day vacation trip. The choice will be theirs anywhere they want in Greece and the financial part will be supported from our partners (Trivago).
