During the course of this semester at Panteion University AD and PR lab we had the opportunity to challenge ourselves with innovative projects.Our team decided to occupied with the Digital Advertising project that had to do with Ad blocking.
The Problem
The latest years the advertising industry started to take a bashing from ad blocking usage.The function of ad blocking is that offers to the user the potential to block the display advertisements. Every year, more and more, users start to utilize ad blocking programs in every device that they have.As a result of it the advertising companies loose a huge amount of money and clients.That is the main problem that our team was called to solve.
Solution
After long conversations and brainstorming, what we thought was the formation of an ad blocking program that would block (not all of them) the most advertisements. Also,the advertisements that would be showed to every user would have been chosen according to their preferences and not by chance.As a result of it,the companies will keep close their customers and the customers from other side won’t get bored with the continuous advertisements.The only advertisements that will be played they were be likely to watch them and more interested in them.
Value Proposition
What: a new ad blocking program that diffs from others
How: By blocking a part of the advertisements and not all of them, by sharing the advertisements based on the client’s taste.The application is available for iOs and Android.
Why:So the advertising companies stop losing clients and money,from other side the users won’t get bored from indifferent ads.
Conclusions
Our project mainly reached in his end and our experiences have been written down.there were many difficulties in the piece of recording of our ideas and in the way with that we could make it work . We finally accomplished a original idea that it is possible to be done.Personally I think, Mr. Kapetanaki’s project acquired interesting knowledge for the methodology of entrepreneurship .Also I accomplished to function effectively in the frames of a team.
