School Legends: The interviews
I really don’t know how to start this post, so I’m going to try to help you understand the reason why I’m writing this. I’m currently studying communication, marketing and public relations at Panteion University, located in Athens, Greece and this year I’ve had the honour of becoming a member of the AdandPrLab, headed by miss Betty Tsakarestou .
Along with my team we completed several projects that helped us gain valuable knowledge and experience of the real corporate world. At the beginning of the spring semester my team decided to take part in the Coca-Cola Teens App Challenge. If you don’t know what this is about, I suggest you read my teammate’s Jason Psarras post which you can find right here → https://medium.com/startuplab-by-adandprlab-panteion-university/school-legends-concept-and-gameplay-a4a2c6a4b23e .
So, the purpose of this post as you can easily imagine, is to illustrate my feelings and thoughts about this experience, but also to talk about the part concerning the interviews that were taken in order to complete the task.
My post continues the story from the point where Jason Psarras left it. So, after he defined the concept behind School Legends, we had his great idea and a number of tools to make it come to life. But a problem arose: what exactly do teens need? We had to answer this question if we wanted to create a really useful and appealing application. That’s when we decided to go out in the streets and find out by ourselves!
For this reason we used a questionnaire consisted of 10 questions that focused on our target’s group needs, habits and preferences. We carried out this survey on a sample of more than 35 participants aged from 13 to 18 years old, asking them -among others- their opinion about quiz games, the changes they would make if they could and the way they use their accounts and personal data registered on social networking platforms.
Our findings determined the way we would work and the final form of our quiz game application, as they implied that the youth is attracted by up-to-date, entertaining and -a somehow- rewarding content.
There’s so much more to be said, but I think it’s time for me to pass on the torch to Vaso Dima so as for her to present the rest of our Start-up Lab journey.
I would like to thank my precious “Cocooners” ( Vaso Dima , Jason Psarras , Nikos Zampekos ) for their hard work, their patience and their unlimited help throughout this experience, Stefanos Nikas and Diana Birba for this opportunity to express our ideas, Spyros Kapetanakis and Katerina Vlassopoulou for their mentoring and Betty Tsakarestou for this unforgettable adventure.
- Thank you all!🎈
