Smart Wheels | Visualization of our idea

--

As a participant to Start up Lab I gained a lot of knowledge about the creation of a new start up business from zero. The procedure we learned to follow was really interesting and we enjoyed it from the beginning to the end.

Initially we ought to find the objective we would get involved with, the idea! As upcoming entrepreneurs we should find an innovative idea that would be useful to humanity and mainly sustainable. The idea came up suddenly when we observed on the road a man on a wheel chair. We wondered ourselves if he could move as comfortably as we and we realized that these people are not often on the streets, so we decided to create a new value that doesn’t exist until now. The creation of a new high tech — smart wheelchair is something that could improve the quality of life for the. disabled people in Greece.

So, Smart Wheels is a wheelchair with many special abilities and extra features that any of the wheelchairs of the market has. Specifically Smart Wheels contains a navigator with 3G and Wifi which shows the best route to follow and reach your destination by avoiding potholes in road and difficult pavements (e.g. Full of trees and cars). Also, the navigator shows the nearest available position in a parking for disabled people while accuses to police, illegal parked cars in order to obtain a regular service. Through the navigator we could add related advertisements for disabled people for products and services that may interest them and we could cooperate with local businesses (coffee shops, restaurant), festivals and activities that will provide ramps and the accessibility is easy to them.

Expect of the navigator, Smart Wheels offer additional gadgets and automatic systems that help people in their daily routine. Some of them is the automatic wrapping system, the elevation to across higher levels, a specially customized to the needs of the disabled pillow and all these will be controlled by the navigator.

We tried to create the perfect wheelchair imagined that we were the ones who are disabled. We hope we could create something valuable. Click on the link to know what we really gained from this.
