The project

During this spring semester at Panteion University’s Startup Lab by ADandPRLab we had to respond to one of four challenges and to offer our solution.

Coca Cola challenge was presented to our class by the representative of their company , Stefanos Nikas and from the first moment, me and my team, we were excited about this and sure that we would choοse it.

The problem

What did the company need, was to re-engage teens (13–19 years old ) with their brands and their product experiences and to increase their sales . However ,Coca Cola would be advertised indirectly .This would actually be done by creating an application which would combine cool ,exciting content and suitable offers for the teens.

After we made a good research we found out that there is a lack of apps targeting to teens and to their instant need for something exclusive and at the same time being interactive and relaxing. Adittionally, most young people in our days do not have ,neither the motive, nor enough money to gain entertaining experiences .

The solution

After much brainstorming, the solution we give them is based excactly on this motivation that is lacking in their lives. Now, with the creation of our application ,they will have the oppurtinity to participate in new and cheap experiences ,giving them interactions and a social status that ,nowadays ,all teens want .

Our idea, includes an application called “Moteenation”, consisted of a game which will turn the city into a virtual reality . In detail, gamers will first create their own account in the application and then, just the time that they get out of their house, they will be able to start the game. By activating Gps on their mobiles the game will automatically shows them a virtual reality of the point that they are and by overcoming some obstacles ,they will collect bonus points. When they collect enough points they will be given discount coupons .

These coupons will be about food,cinema,concerts and other such things in order to make teens have fun . More about vouchers , we thoought that we will make some cooperations with other companies such us Goody’s, Village Cinemas, Color Day Festival and together with the offer that each company will give us we are going to sell our product!

Insights

We tried to get closer to our audience by taking some interviews and we realized that teenagers would realy love it if existed such an application ,offering them both interactivity and communication and that they would use it. Generally , we understood that communication is very important to them and that they are interested in accion but they do not have the power to do it. These information really helped us ,as we decided to make our app multi-thematic and besides the game to add a platform where young people will interact and share their views .

Value Proposition

■What: A multi-thematic app with teen’s relevant content called “Moteenation”

■How: 1. By creating a virtual reality game called hidden treasure in which gamers will be going out at open spaces and will be collecting bonus points to win the prize.

2. By offering different contests , new experiences and free discount coupons in co-operation with other companies.

3. By creating a teens community in which they will communicate and share their experiences.

■ Why: In order to increase the teenager’s love for the Coca Cola brand and to generate transactions between the users.

To conclude:

We also made a plan for the promotional part of our application and for the money needed at the firts level. Thereupon, we made a Powerpoint including the most important points of our work. So, our presentation took place at “Impact Hub Athens”, where we listened carefully to the comments and the feedback of the judges and and ,with no doupt, we will take them into account!

As a team we faced difficulties during this semester but we learned to work collaboratively ,under real conditions and we shared a unique challenge journey. Personally , i feel very lucky to be a member of StartUpLab and i believe that i have gained great information and experiences about Start up.
