Business Idea

Our idea came from a brainstorming session that our team had which led to the conclusion that there is not an actual application that combine travelling and entertainment. So we decided to create a platform that will include travelers’ opinions on an Greek Island, posts and photos from the users and fun channels to keep them entertained and educated throughout their trip. Travelers will not only share photos, experiences, moments, but they will interact with other users at the same time.

As a team we tried to find the latest trends, and we did a Market Analysis in rising tourism industry and island hopping. As for the social media and digital marketing we noticed that nowadays people use their phone for everything; so our app gives them the ability to find any information they need concentrated in one place

In general, social media is a mean of communication that brings people closer together and allows them to exchange ideas. Travel Beats users will be able to share their location and comment on it; In that way, guests with common interests will have the opportunity to link up and talk about their places they visited in order to ensure that their experience will be optimal.

We create a plan with playlists podcasts and voice searches that will have in our app and we still to this day come up with interesting things to add.

We created a persona in order to see what a future customer will need from us.

MAIN COMPETITORS

In order to success, we wanted to see which companies are close to our idea so we can learn from them and grow together.

Our main competitors are Spotify, TripAdvisor, Soundis, Trivago and CnTraveler, brands that all provide different features and have different reasons for being our competitor. Spotify and Soundis provide musical features such as radio programs, podcasts and playlists for different moods and occasions such as traveling.

On the other hand, TripAdvisor, Trivago and CnTraveler will be competing us on the traveling part of our start-up considering the fact that we aim to build an environment in which our users will turn to TravelBeats for suggestions for sights, restaurants, hotels etc., suggestions which are currently made mainly by those competitors.

MARKETING MIX

It’s all about the experience of the tourist! We made a Marketing Mix and we tried to understand what is our product, which is our price and pricing policy how and where to promote our business.

Our podcasts ideas will be creative and will include many well known people such as Sakis Tanimanidis, Tasos Dousis, Mary Kalymnoy, Nina Kom etc.

Lastly we came up with some more ideas to make our app more enjoyable.

Travel tours, podcast for info and sights, for experiences, guests , holiday suggestions etc.

Playlists: inspired by travelers, inspired by destinations , playlists with duration equal to hours f travel , playlist for the beaches , relaxing moments.
