Meet Byways — The Startup of Sennder’s Former Head of Product — And They Have the US in Sight
Executive Summary
BYWAYS is a SaaS tool, which connects warehouses, clients, and logistic companies to order transportation at the time and date needed, like a Calendly for logistics. They already have ASOS, Maersk, and Sennder amongst their clients.
You can imagine our tool as a kind of a calendar app, where the customer can book transportation for a desired date and time.

We are pretty agnostic in terms of what goods and transports are coordniated with our software. It just enables all parties to optimize their ressources.

The Founder
We talk to Alexander Palffy (https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexanderpalffy/), co-founder and managing director of logistics startup BYWAYS (https://www.byways.io/). Alexander has been one of the first employees at Berlin-based unicorn Sennder (formerly instafreight), where he held at the end the position of head of product. Before he has been optimizing last-mile delivery for Foodora, as well as interned with Roland Berger, among other positions.
Alexander has been studying applied chemistry. He had his first experience as a student in a warehouse as a summer job and has been interested in logistics ever since.
Our tool also translates instructions for example if you have a turkish truck driver and a polish warehouse. So the warehouse can input all instructions in Polish and the driver will see them in Turkish.

The Startup
BYWAYS (https://www.byways.io/) is a SaaS software tool, which connects warehouses, clients, and logistic companies to order transportation at the time and date needed. Like a Calendly for logistics. Amongst their clients are already ASOS, Sennder, and Maersk one of the world's largest shipping companies.
This makes the workload for the dispatchers much easier, so they don’t have to work long hours or even night shifts.
The tool also translates the instructions for delivery across multiple languages.
