CES is an international consumer electronics exhibition that takes place every year in Las Vegas in early January. Companies from all over the world present their new devices, apps and other technological products at this event, among which you can find quite unusual, interesting or even weirdideas. In this article, we have collected 10 new products presented at CES 2024 that may surprise you with their originality.

AI binoculars for birdwatchers

Swarovski has introduced the AX Visio 10×32 smart binoculars for birdwatchers: with the help of built-in AI technologies, it can identify more than 9,000 species of birds and various animals, as well as take photos and videos. Such a device, though, will only be affordable for very wealthy birdwatchers: it costs $4,799.

Case with a keyboard for iPhone

A lot of articles have already been published about this new product: the startup Clicks Technology has developed a case for the iPhone that turns it into a BlackBerry-style push-button phone thanks to a miniature physical keyboard – with its help you can control all functions on the smartphone. This development costs $139.

Synchronizing music in the car with the speed of travel

Sound Drive, a startup of the Black Eyed Peas leader Will.i.am, presented a technology that can automatically select music in the car according to the speed of the driving thanks to integration with the steering wheel and brake/gas pedals. Owners of Mercedes-Benz EQ electric cars will be the first to try out the development this summer.

Router in the form of a framed picture

For the lovers of cute, cozy designs, GL.iNet has come up with a Marble Wi-Fi router in the form of a frame with a small abstract painting – it can be hung on the wall or placed on a table. The product is due out this spring.

Smart toilet lid

Another sensational original new product is the smart toilet lid PureWash E930 Bidet Seat from Kohler. It supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Using voice commands, the user can control the water pressure and temperature, raise and lower the lid without hands, and also start self-cleaning of the toilet with ultraviolet light. Such an interesting device will cost $2,149.

Voice suppression mask

The development from Skyted looks more like a half-assembled helmet – but in fact it is a special mask that can absorb the sounds of the user’s voice. Such a tool can help reduce noise levels in public places such as airports or open spaces, while simultaneously ensuring the privacy of the user’s personal conversations. The startup launched a fundraiser on Kickstarter for the production of masks and has already produced 300 pieces for the first customers.

Self-rolling stroller with AI functions

The startup GlüxKind presented an original baby stroller that can independently roll forward or rock in one place, like a cradle. The product also has a built-in function for turning on white noise to make it easier for your baby to fall asleep. Pre-ordering this new product will cost from $2,400 to $4,300 depending on the model.

Sensor for studying the underwater world using mollusks

MolluSCAN has come up with an ingenious way to study the marine environment using lightweight, non-invasive sensors that can be attached to the shells of clams and oysters. Such a sensor will help monitor marine life, the level of water pollution and other indicators important to scientists. The startup has several clients already, and the project recently launched its first 12 sensors.

Foldable TV

For those who don’t like the TV taking up too much space in the room, C SEED’s N1 has introduced a foldable TV screen. It consists of 5 MicroLED panels that can transform into a vertical aluminum structure in 90 seconds. When unfolded, the product is available in three diagonal sizes: 103, 137 and 165 inches. The smallest version will cost $200,000.

Smart mirror with depression detection function

Let’s complete the list of unusual developments with the new BMind from Baracoda – a smart mirror with AI functions that can determine the user’s mental state based on an analysis of his reflection, gestures, facial expressions and intonation. The product is equipped with voice functions – it can give the user general advice on taking care of mental health, suggest simple exercises to reduce anxiety, or even conduct a short psychotherapy session.
