A New Leader for Life Sciences at IW

I am very pleased to announce that Megan Shaw has been promoted to be Managing Director for Life Sciences/AlphaLab Health at Innovation Works. In this role, she will be responsible for leading our strategy, investments and programs in life sciences, growing upon the foundation that

As highlighted when , Megan has a well-rounded perspective to building life science companies — ranging from leading a diagnostic company from product definition to exit, working with NIH and RADx to evaluate promising COVID-19 diagnostic technologies and assessing markets in strategy consulting and private equity.

At IW, Megan has made an immediate impact, most notably with AlphaLab Health, which successfully of companies earlier in June. Joining as the program was starting, she quickly took ownership of several of the major program components and has helped define our strategy for the next ALH cohort. She has added value immediately to companies she has worked with and built relationships with key partners in the Pittsburgh life science community.

I am excited to have Megan lead IW’s efforts to help grow the Pittsburgh Life Sciences community in the months and years ahead.
