No one ever said that being a new parent is easy, but until you live it you don’t understand how tough it really is. There are the sleepless nights, conflicting (and often unsolicited) advice from loved ones, and for breastfeeding moms, there’s an onslaught of other little-discussed issues.

This natural process can be challenging, rewarding, and sometimes downright uncomfortable. Breast milk can feel like liquid gold and there is little more frustrating than losing a single drop of milk. So at the end of a long day, when the baby is finally fed and asleep and the mom is ready to go to bed the last thing she wants to deal with is milk leakage.

Nearly every breastfeeding mother deals with milk leakage at night, yet the most common solution is disposable or reusable nursing pads that must be worn with a bra to stay in place. Mamalux eliminates the need to wear a bra to bed by designing absorbent pads that attach to a nightgown.

You have already met Mamalux Founder & CEO Lindsay Stuart in one of our previous blogs, so let’s dive into why we love this product.

“I created this product to solve a problem I was having, and after surveying hundreds of new breastfeeding moms, I realized I wasn’t alone in wanting a more comfortable, leak-free sleep solution. Nobody was happy with the status quo”.

Here is why we love Mamalux:

They get it. Lindsay understands breastfeeding frustrations because she’s been there. She created a cute, comfortable sleep solution for new moms because the market was severely lacking. Did we mention the dresses have pockets? Yeah, she gets it.

They keep it real. Luxury for new mothers isn’t about having your hair and makeup done, it’s not about being perfect — it’s about staying true to what nursing mothers really need. “Our mission here at Mamalux is to make things a little bit easier and a lot more comfortable — but we’re ALWAYS going to keep it authentic, not aspirational.”

It’s solution-driven. Mamalux tested out 5 different combinations of materials and saturated them with real breastmilk overnight. Then they sleep-tested the top two performers with breastfeeding moms. The winning pad is a totally unique 3-layer combination that works incredibly well.

It’s sustainable. Made in America, these dresses are made from bamboo, a highly sustainable natural renewable resource that needs very little water and grows incredibly fast. This unique fabric is designed to hold up over time. The ultra-soft, extra-absorbent nursing pads can be washed and worn again and again.

It’s only the beginning. Mamalux is a product of Luxwear, a brand that Lindsay hopes mothers will grow to trust and turn to for their needs.

So if you are a new mom, mom-to-be, or know someone who is, take this unsolicited advice — check out Mamalux!
