Eran Orr of VRHealth

Eran Orr is the founder of VRHealth Group and the CEO of VRHealth USA.

Recently, he found an old school notebook in which he’d written, as a first-grader, that he wanted to be a pilot. That’s what he eventually became.

However, 4 years ago, a whiplash injury took him out of the cockpit of his F-16 and put him on a different path.

While undergoing treatment for his injury, Eran searched for a way to make physical therapy more interesting and effective and virtual reality and other new technologies appeared to provide an answer.

Now, Eran and the team at VRHealth help heath care professionals provide more effective physical therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, pain management, and other therapies.

VRHealth creates medical and wellness applications empowered by virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), real-time data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and other technologies.

Their flagship product, VRPhysio, is a digital health care platform that leverages virtual reality to enhance physical therapy. The platform includes a series of full-body exercises suitable for physical rehabilitation treatment both in the clinic and at home.

The company is empowering thousands of treatments each month and, with patients able to “leave” the clinic to do their therapy in virtual environments like the circus, the beach, the forest, a pirate island, and more, it’s no wonder that the number of users is growing.

VRHealth is one of the innovative startups funded by Mediterranean Towers Ventures, which invests in early-stage technology companies developing disruptive solutions for aging.

As part of its mission to to help extraordinary entrepreneurs change the future of aging, Mediterranean Towers Ventures runs an annual “startup of the year” competition in cooperation with Aging2.0.
