We had a very successful meetup last Sept 20, 2018, on our Blockchain Thursday in Paris!

The meetup was about the regulation and compliance in the security tokens and regulations on ICOs. Questions like, “Why are some regulators delaying new regulation? How are they applying existing regulations and enforcing the law? Should the industry be self-regulated?” were answered during the discussions.

The speakers also discussed the current state of global regulation of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, the best countries to incorporate, and what to expect in the blockchain industry in the future.

Check out the presentation that was made by our very own Chief Compliance Officer, Camille Jones during the meetup. She talked about the Crypto/Blockchain Regulation trends for 2018. She shared her insight on Cryptocurrency exchange & DLT Provider Regulations, AML/KYC Implementation and Enforcement, and the difference between Security Token and Utility Token.

She also discussed the US Perspective regarding ICO, SEC, and recent enforcement actions on Airdrops or Bounty programs as well as the Plexcorps in Quebec Canada regarding the Crossborder Crypto Enforcement.

She also shared the best practices from the SEC and ICO compliance. She also shared the countries with crypto friendly jurisdictions like Australia, Gibraltar, Malta, Estonia, Thailand and Singapore.
