On Wednesday our CEO, Gregory Klumov, participated in the launch of the International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA). INATBA is sponsored by the European Commission as part of their Digital Single Market Strategy. It aims to create a global forum where blockchain companies and users can engage with policy-makers in order to further the development and use of the technology.

Moving forward, Gregory will act as spokesman for the INATBA group focused on financial use cases. The group will focus on four priorities:

  • Creating a framework for evaluating whether public or private blockchains are better suited for various use cases
  • Harmonizing various regulators’ approaches to digital assets
  • Gathering feedback from top regulators in Europe and Asia, with an emphasis on learning what concerns still need to be addressed
  • Compiling DLT use cases around payments and capital markets

At STASIS, we believe it’s imperative that governments adopt comprehensive regulation around digital assets, and that they cooperate with one another in order to limit regulatory arbitrage. Gregory’s involvement with INATBA will allow us to build on our experience advising other regulatory bodies in order to further contribute to this goal. We’re excited to take part in such a promising initiative.
