Meet the new version of the largest euro-backed stablecoin
Dear EURS users! We are thrilled to inform you that the EURS smart contract is expected to receive an upgrade on April 2nd— marking a new development milestone in the STASIS project. STASIS team is excited to outline that the smart contract was upgraded by ABDK — the company behind the audit of the V3 Uniswap which is the largest DeFi protocol nowadays.
High transaction fees are often a stumbling block for many projects in the cryptocurrency field; therefore, developing a solution to this problem has been a priority for us. The STASIS team opted to update the EURS smart contract because the largest euro-backed stablecoin has been gaining momentum and popularity in Decentralized Finance. Smart-contract upgrade summary 2/04/2021:
1) Removal of one transfer event. It transferred the commission (parameter was set to zero) in favor of the fee collector when using the transfer(), transfersFrom(), and delegatedTransfer() methods;
2) Smart contract is implemented using the latest stable version of Solidity — 0.8.2;
3)After the upgrade, the cost of transactions in DeFi-services (https://uniswap.org, https://curve.fi, and other protocols supporting EURS)is reduced by 20% and the cost of transactions is reduced by 35%, depending on the implementation of the contracts of the services themselves.
Important!
The upgrade of the smart contract utilizes the proxy mechanism and does not change the basic parameters of the token (name, decimals). Nothing will change for users and counterparties in terms of the user journey. Interaction with the contract still occurs at the old address (0xdB25f211AB05b1c97D595516F45794528a807ad8). The settings of wallets (such as Metamask or others) do not need to be changed!
There is no reason to worry about possible troubleshooting since all the changes are performed automatically, and you won’t experience any problems associated with the upgrade.
Furthermore, CertiK has performed an audit of our enhanced smart-contract, and the statement will be publicly available online on 2/04/2021.
