Production Update: Volume V
With delivery right around the corner, April turned out to be one of our best months along our manufacturing journey.
Here’s an overview of what we were up to this month:
- Our software team submitted the Stata Clock iOS app to the Apple App Store and were officially approved for distribution!
- Our mechanics team has been refining manufacturing processes and has begun the long process of parts manufacturing.
- Our hardware team has been busy placing orders and working with suppliers to ensure the Stata Clock is delivered on time.

Software Update
Our software team completed all iOS updates last month and submitted the finalized app to the Apple App Store. As a hardware-related app, we actually had to supply Apple with a demo of our clock and app working together. However, the application process went extremely smoothly and we were approved in just a few days.
Many of you may have noticed that our Android App development has been put on-hold while we finished up our iOS app. Our software team will begin development on our Android app post-delivery. While this was not the initial intention, we wanted our mobile experience to be the best possible and therefore are delaying the development of our second app until the first has been deemed a success.

Mechanical Update
The mechanical team has completed the refinement of all manufacturing methods and production is well underway. Our test clocks have been created, tested, and validated, which means we are full-steam ahead.
Over the next month, the Mechanical team will continue to produce parts made in-house for the Stata Clocks. Once parts are made, final assembly can begin and before you know it, Stata Clocks will be shipping!
Hardware Update
Our hardware team is hard at work placing orders for all of our outsourced part and manufacturing materials.
- The material for our beautiful wood faces has been ordered.
- The aluminum hands are almost ready to be cut an anodized. While running slightly behind schedule with our hands manufacturer, we are confident it wont delay the overall timeline.
- Our servos shipment from China was incorrect, but the issue has been remedied and new servos are already on their way.
Electronics hardware is the team’s focus this month now that all long lead-time items have been ordered.
