Many of us in the PPE Society have compelling ideas we want to share in Statecraft but struggle with the complexities of research, drafting, and revising. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Pubs Pals, an innovative new program from our Publications Team designed to support and mentor you through every step of your writing journey.
Pubs Pals pairs you with a seasoned member of our Publications Team who will serve as your mentor and guide. Whether you’re just brainstorming ideas or putting the finishing touches on your draft, your Pubs Pal will be there to provide insights and feedback, ensuring you have the support you need to succeed. This mentorship is more than just a helping hand; it’s an opportunity to develop your writing and communication skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In addition to Pubs Pals, we’re excited to share that the winner of the first-year writing competition will be announced next week! But fear not, if a bit of friendly rivalry is the motivation you need then we will be running several more competitions throughout the year before we finalise the in-print copy. These competitions are a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, explore new topics, and showcase your writing prowess. Winners will not only receive recognition and prizes but will also have their work featured prominently in the physical hard copy of Statecraft.
