Richmond University Medical Center Foundation cordially invites you to participate in its fourth annual Clambake Fundraiser to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and honor the legacy of Dr. Anantham Harin.

The event takes place on Wednesday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m., at The Vanderbilt at South Beach on 300 Father Capodanno Blvd.

Richmond University Medical Center’s level three neonatal intensive care unit ranks among the highest across New York City with a more than 99 percent survival rate for premature and seriously ill newborns, according to Vermont Oxford Network, a nonprofit voluntary collaboration of health-care professionals dedicated to improving the quality of medical care to newborns and their families.

Each year, the hospital’s capable Labor And Delivery teams deliver more than 3,000 babies, 500 of which receive life-saving treatment and care in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit. The neonatal intensive care unit’s enduring success, including its low morbidity rate, owes in large part to the groundbreaking work and dedication of the late Dr. Harin, who specialized in the treatment of chronic lung disease in newborns. Dr. Harin’s legacy continues through the work of the hospital’s wonderful neonatal intensive care team of pediatricians, physician assistants, nurses, and staff headed by Dr. Anthony Barone and his associate, Dr. Santosh Parab.

All proceeds from the Clambake Fundraiser will directly benefit Richmond University Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
