United States Military Discount Program for Richmond County Veterans
An Opportunity for Chamber Members & Local Businesses to Show Support to Our Richmond County, United States Military Veterans
The Chamber of Commerce is proud to collaborate with Assemblyman Michael Cusick in the Staten Island Veteran’s Discount Program; a discount program for United States Military Veterans who live in Richmond County.
This program is our way of thanking veterans living on Staten Island for their service to our country and our community. Veterans will receive an identification card that — when presented at a participating business — will entitle them to a pre-determined discount on goods or services.
Business owners who wish to offer a discount will be listed on www.sichamber.comfor the duration of their participation. If you decide the program is not right for your business, you can drop out at any time by contacting the Chamber. At a minimum, your business will be contacted on an annual basis to confirm your continued interest in the program. In addition to showing your support for our veterans, this program will give your business access to the growing community of veterans on Staten Island.
Staten Island Veterans who are interested in the program can sign up at Assemblyman Cusick’s office (1911 Richmond Ave., 718–370–1384) with their discharge papers (DD214) and receive the Staten Island VETS identification card. This card will give veterans access to discounts at local businesses who have signed up for the program. Participants will receive a list of participating businesses that offer discounts at their establishment. As new businesses join the program throughout the year, Assemblyman Cusick’s office will provide updated lists to the local VFW, American Legion, and public libraries.
We encourage you to consider joining us, and your fellow Staten Island business owners, in supporting those who have fought on our behalf.
