Education is the weapon most hyped to open doors of success. Is it really so, or is just another front in the golden ticket endeavor? Let’s find out right now, but in a funny style with a dash of wit.

The Formal Education Fiasco

Let’s start with the traditional route: formal education. Since kindergarten, through college, we are taught to read, write, and do our arithmetic — not to mention a slate of multiple subjects. Will we definitely profit into six-figure incomes if we learn the Pythagorean theorem or can recite Shakespeare? Not really.

As @ernestadiq rightly added, “Education does not automatically guarantee your success or wealth.” Many uneducated people have also achieved great success and employed people with an education. So while education may be a bonus, at least it’s definitely not the benchmark for success.

The Entrepreneurial Edge

What about those who skip the traditional education route and simply dive into entrepreneurship right away? @TAbrodi believes that “Self-education is where success is found.” Literally, quite a few entrepreneurs have made it big, such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, who did not complete their college degrees and founded amazing businesses. However, many of these were powered by a combination of talent, determination, and market conditions.

The Talent Factor

Speaking of talent, @im_aslanarjun reminds us that “Success doesn’t come about only by education, it comes to us through talent.” Where education could help us nurture our skills and knowledge, it’s actually our innate abilities and interests that mostly make a move toward success. Therefore, if you are an artist or musician and are good at it, do not feel incapable of succeeding due to an uneducated background.

But that’s still not the end — education is not just within the classroom. According to @Wensmakavelli, “Education simply sets you apart and acts as a stepping stone in to life.” In today’s fast world, it becomes increasingly difficult to achieve anything without adaptability and learning new skills. In this respect, as @BakakaFrederic puts in his tweet, “Education is there to sharpen our analytical capability & increase our sense of reasoning.” So, learn well, grow, and success will ensue.

The Success Equation

In conclusion, the part that education plays toward our success is very versatile. While formal education can provide a solid foundation, it’s not the only path to success. Talent, determination, hard work, and the willingness to learn and adjust are equally important. As @Xperience_Snr so rightly puts it, “Fame and money may get you to the top, but EDUCATION will keep you there and elevate you higher even more.” Therefore, if you are a college graduate or self-taught success story, remember that education on its own is only one part of this puzzle.
