Since the launch of Station F in 2017, we’ve secretly had a desire to launch a sport tech program on campus. And not just with anyone but with someone incredibly credible in the industry. Well, we are beyond thrilled to announce the launch of the first adidas global sports accelerator program on campus today.

The adidas program called Platform A kicks off today with 13 startups, which were selected from a pool of 28 finalists who pitched at the adidas headquarters in Germany in December. For this program, adidas has teamed up with US-based Plug and Play and is investing a total of € 1 million in the development of the program.

“We are very excited to work with Station F and the best startups in the sector,” said Kasper Rorsted, CEO of adidas AG. “This collaboration offers them and us the opportunity to learn from each other. Together we will develop innovative and exciting new products and business models for sports.”

adidas works with many athletes and creatives from the world of sports, fashion and entertainment around the world, including Pharrell Williams who made a surprise visit to Station F during the launch today!

The 13 selected startups come from all over the world and include Overtime (a sports network for the digital generation from New York), Hero (a live shopping service that connects online shoppers with store associates from the UK), and Running Care(a digital coach that helps runners to prevent and treat running injuries from France) France, Lille) — as well as Blue Bite, SneakerCrypt, Storr, WOM, YEAY, eyecandylab, Radius8, Stuffstr, Vekia, and Neurun.

We’re very excited to meet all of them very soon and welcome these new companies and adidas to the Station F family.
