Meet Ilkka Paananen, CEO and Co-Founder of Supercell

Since Supercell’s founding in 2010, the Helsinki-based mobile games developer behind Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, Hay Day and Boom Beachas became the first gaming startup to reach a $10 billion valuation. Most of their games have been featured as #1 on App Store and Google Play for months.

Ilkka has in fact been pushing the boundaries in the gaming industry since 2000 — a true industry veteran! Prior to Supercell, Ilkka was CEO and co-founder of Sumea, which was later acquired by Digital Chocolate. There he served as president until 2010. In addition to his role at Supercell, he is today an active member of the Nordic startup community. He is an advisor and investor at Lifeline Ventures, Atomico and a coach at Startup Sauna.

Since opening, STATION F has hosted regular Ask Me Anything sessions with incredible entrepreneurs like Brian Chesky, CEO and founder of Airbnb, David Marcus, head of Messenger at Facebook (now working on blockchain), Mikkel Svane, CEO at ZenDesk and many more… And, we are super excited to add Ilkka Paananen to that list.
