Finding the right answer to your questions on French administrations or the French laws is not always easy. To make things easier for entrepreneurs in France, La French Tech, that hosts more than 30 public administrations on our campus at STATION F — including Pôle Emploi, CNIL, Business France… — just launched Noa, a friendly chatbot to help you find the right answers to your questions! We interview French Tech representative, Marine Beck, to learn more about the initiative.

Can you tell us more about Noa?

It has been developed by the prefecture of Île-de-France alongside with more than 10 public services such as Customs, INPI, Pôle Emploi, URSSAF… and it’s the very first AI-powered chatbot designed to help startups with their administrative procedures. Ask him any question, in French or in English, about starting up a business and Noa will give you an answer! It works for visa issues, import and export business, recruitment, taxes… you can find all your answers in one place.

Where can we access it?

Noa is available on multiple websites : French Tech Central, Préfecture of Île-de-France and Pôle Emploi. He’ll be on others very soon… Just click on his smiley face and start the conversation.

What kind of questions can we ask?

You can ask any questions related to business creation. The public services that are contributing to Noa cover a very wide range of subjects : ask any question related to visa or import and export, learn more about recruiting an intern or a foreign associate, protecting your brand, find out about
employees social contributions, funds eligibility and get some support. To date, Noa answers to almost 280 questions and that number keeps growing.

The technology behind Noa is nothing unseen before but the process itself wasn’t a smooth path. For the first time, so many public services came together to provide short, easy to understand and sometimes common answers on all those subjects. The challenge we faced was also the ambition we set : to boost a collaborative and transversal approach to bring public services closer to startup’s needs.

Do you plan to add more features in the coming weeks ?

Noa is constantly learning from its interactions and so are the public services that provide the expertise. Noa will soon be expanding his knowledge with new subjects to answer concerns that spark at every step of a startup’s life. If you want to contribute, leave us a message in the feedback forum.
