STATION F is the biggest startup campus in the world. Being a campus means that not only do we provide workspace and amenities, but we also have a very intense schedule of events that exist to nurture our community of early stage startups.

Our beautiful campus features several event venues, dedicated to different types of events (but more on that in a few paragraphs).

In addition to the events organized by STATION F staff and those organized by STATION F residents (startups programs and startups themselves!) we receive a *ton* of requests to organize events on our campus. And we do welcome a ton of events!

Because we can’t always host all of the events that we get requests from, we feel it’s time we give you all the details about how our Events department works.

STATION F events philosophy: the best of events for our startup community

First thing you need to understand about our campus: we are 100% dedicated to our entrepreneurs. And their needs are our #1 concern. Which is pretty different from a “traditional” event venue :)

Let’s start with a few figures.

Last year, STATION F hosted almost 350 workshops open exclusively to our residents. In addition, our startup programs organize roughly the same amount of workshops for their own community of startups.

Larger events are organized for groups of around 300 people, as well as community events and fun events like concerts, movie screenings, theater plays, etc.

In total, there are between 2 and 5 events each day at STATION F.

All of STATION F events correspond to our editorial line and philosophy:

  • all events at STATION F must be of interest for entrepreneurs, that is to say the content of the event must be either tech-oriented or knowledgable for entrepreneurs. We also love cool lifestyle events like concerts or parties :)
  • the quality of the content must be unique in the world. We pride ourselves with a community of highly selected entrepreneurs (less than 9% of applicants get in!) therefore we want to provide the best content there is.
  • all of our events are open to our entrepreneurs. Because we have so many requests for event venues, we need to prioritize our spaces for events open to our community. If your event is not free, no worries, but we appreciate a discount for our residents :)
  • we always go the extra mile: we want to provide our entrepreneurs with the most exciting experience. Therefore, we will always be particularly interested in international speakers, topics that you don’t see elsewhere, or unique experiences.
  • we want to spread our values: we will always favor events that promote the same values of STATION F, that is to say to help entrepreneurs and to help all kinds of entrepreneurs: women, foreigners, or people from differents backgrounds.

As a consequence, STATION F will not be a good fit if you are looking for a place to host a private seminar, a press conference, a company’s birthday, or anything along those lines.

To give you a few examples, we have had the pleasure of hosting:

STATION F’s facilities & services

STATION F has a great variety of spaces:

  • a large auditorium called the Master Stage, fits 350 pax
  • 2 workshop rooms for 25 and 50 pax
  • a large 900-sq meters area in the middle of the building that can be transformed into an expo, stage, sports arena, or anything you can imagine!

In addition, French Tech Central, TechShop and Anticafé also provide events facilities. They manage their own editorial lines and budget, therefore if you want to enquire, you can do so via:

Let’s talk pricing….

It’s also important to know that hosting events is part of STATION F’s business model. As many of you know, STATION F does not make any profit. Our goal is to provide very affordable desks and services to our entrepreneurs. Therefore, there are costs that we can unfortunately not cut, for budget reasons.

Quotes can be determined depending on the configuration of your event.

In addition to the space, like any other events venue we have a number of preferred supplier (mandatory if you want to organize your event at STATION F. Lucky you! They know the space and its constraints very well), and have a dedicated team that will help your event go super smoothly.

If you want our community of startups to be part of your event, we’re also happy to help!

  • if your event is not free, we advise you provide a special discount for our residents
  • we can promote your event through our internal and external communications channels
  • if you are looking for speakers or demo-ers among our community, we can also advise on that.

Important note about that: unfortunately, we won’t be able to help you organize an event around open innovation with our community of startups at the moment. This means that beyond promoting your event, we cannot help you select startups, arrange introductions or else.

Want to suggest an event? Ask yourself those questions

Why do I want to organize my event at STATION F?

If you are just looking for a beautiful and innovative space, maybe there are better fits for you. All of our events organizers become true partners, who share our values and philosophy.

Do I want startups involved?

We are a startup campus, therefore unless you’re organizing a fun concert (which we love!), we will ask that our startups can access your event.

What can I bring to the table?

Often times, organizers will want to get something out of our startups, but we love it when you ask yourself what can you offer them? Don’t forget that startups are highly unstable organizations that need a ton of support to overcome their fragility. Be kind :)

Does my event fit in one or several spaces at STATION F?

Sounds random but… no we can’t have a 10,000-people expo. Nor can we host 150pax (this could work at French Tech Central though!) — this is just how the building is :)

If you think your event matches our campus setting and philosophy, then we would love to have you!

Hosting events: here’s how our process works

Please send us an email at events@stationf.co with the following info:

  • anticipated dates and times
  • if you’re an agency: who’s your client?
  • detailed content of the event: what topics are going to be addressed, who are the speakers, give details on previous editions if there are
  • explain why you want your event to be at STATION F, how it’s related to entrepreneurship or tech
  • expected number of attendees and preferred venues (see our website)

If we have availabilities, we will get back to you with a quote and meeting suggestions so that you can visit and start working on logistics.

Throughout the duration of the preparation and organization, you will have a dedicated Events Manager who will be your point of contact and coordinate with logistics teams, comms team, or any other person you need.

Please note that we receive hundreds of emails each day, please bear with us if it takes us more than 24h to get back to you! Also, we unfortunately don’t take enquiries over the phone for the same reason.

If you have any other questions about this topic, you can check out our FAQ!

Want to submit a speaker for a workshop? Here’s how!

Do you want to suggest a workshop or suggest yourself as a speaker, we’d love to hear your ideas :)

You can email us at startups@stationf.co and our startups team will get back to you.

Please note that we do not provide any compensation for workshops.
