Welcome aboard French Tech Central at STATION F!
Last night was the official inauguration of “French Tech Central,” a gathering place for the entire French Tech ecosystem — startups from throughout France and around the world, investors, researchers, public services, and international visitors — located on the first and second floors of STATION F, in the Share zone.
French Tech Central project is structured around 4 ambitions :
- A meeting place for French and international startups
- An international welcome desk for international visitors
- A centralized location for public services startups use, and
- An interface between startups and scientific research.
Yesterday, Gérald Darmanin, French Minister of Public Action and Accounts, Mounir Mahjoubi, Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, Yannick Imbert, Secretary Prefect of Regional Affairs, Parisian Region, and Xavier Niel, Internet Tycoon and founder of STATION F, took a tour of French Tech Central to discover the space and see the impact that the project is already having particularly on the relations between startups and public services.
So far over 600 entrepreneurs have benefitted from the presence of the public services at French Tech Central
…via individual meetings, workshops, and masterclasses. Three startups gave their first impressions of their experiences including Benoît Bourdel, fondateur de Luko, who received advice about HR from URSSAF and was able to meet with the ANFR to test his connected device to make sure it meets regulation.
Three public services also shared their experiences, including Laëtitia Boussemart from URSSAF who explained that she was very doubtful about setting up in French Tech Central, but was happily surprised to see how enthusiastic her colleagues are to work with startups and even to modify processes specifically for startups’ needs.
