Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Status Incubate, the first of a series of Status Projects initiatives dedicated to creating a vibrant Web3 ecosystem.
At Status, our mission is to make the world more open and equitable by delivering the power of Web3 to anyone with an Internet connection. Status Projects is our comprehensive umbrella program to inspire action, support collaboration, and lay the groundwork to drive Web3 forward. Status Incubate is our first program to bring this vision to life.
Status Incubate is focused on accelerating the development of mobile-ready DApps and the Web3 ecosystem. This initiative has been designed to provide the necessary guidance and support to help make the most compelling projects successful.
The foundation of our platform is ready
Since we launched Status in alpha in January of last year, our teams have made steady, significant progress toward a Beta on mainnet.
From upgrading to Whisper v6 for reliability to improving the data management/storage to our recent UI/UX updates, we’re focused on delivering an amazing experience. With the recent security audit well under way, the coming move to mainnet will mean you can access any DApp on the Ethereum Network, while running a mobile node directly in your pocket.
Now, we want to foster a rich ecosystem for the decentralized Web — because the better the Web3 ecosystem is, the better your Status experience will be, and the more compelling Status becomes to new users. We designed Status Incubate with the goal of providing the best user experience within Status as possible and this includes promoting and supporting the number of amazing emerging projects in the space.
Fostering the decentralized Web
At Status, we know first-hand the path from idea to implementation isn’t easy. For those working in a new ecosystem like Web3, there’s the additional challenge of developing a business in an early-stage market. How do you find your product/market fit? — How many startups will we incubate?
We’ll take on a handful of startups each quarter across a wide cross section — we’re most interested in mobile friendly Ethereum-based DApps to improve Status’ value offering, but are also on the look out for IoT plays, base-layer protocols, scaling solutions, and anything else that will facilitate a rich ecosystem of peer-to-peer technologies. Our only requirement is that you and your team are working every day to expand the decentralized Web.

1. Submit your application: We take applications on a rolling basis–so feel free to apply whenever you are ready. (There’s no deadline for applications.)
2. Application review: The Status Incubate team will review each application carefully.
3. Follow-up interviews: If your project has potential, we will follow up to learn more about your project, your team, and your goals.
4. Decision: Hopefully, you’ll be part of Status Incubate!
