3 Beard Soaps You Should Use Before You Die
A clean beard is a clean mind. Or so the saying goes.
If you have read any of my blog posts here you will know that I am a massive advocate of natural beard products. I am also a massive advocate of washing your beard.
As a bearded gentleman it can be very tempting to use generic supermarket shampoos and body washes to clean your beard in the shower. However, this should be avoided! More often than not these sorts of products are laced with chemicals that strip your beard of it’s natural oils. This can damage your beard and leave it feeling very dry.
When it comes to washes or soaps for your beard you want to be looking for something that has lovely natural oils in it. Things like coconut, argan and jojoba, the sort of oils that you would expect to see in a high quality beard oil. These oils will ensure that your beard stays soft, look after your skin, and make you look and feel awesome!
Though it’s something we are working on, at the moment we don’t offer a beard wash or soap as part of our beard care range. Because of that we wanted to give you some recommendations on the best products out there at the moment.
Here are 3 products that I use regularly that are perfect for use as a beard wash or beard soap:
Dr. Bronner’s Organic Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap
This liquid soap is 100% natural and has some beautiful oils in it that are perfect for taking care of your beard. The oils include jojoba, hemp, avocado, and coconut. It has a wonderful peppermint fragrance and really gives that minty tingle when you use it. I find this one extremely refreshing and love to use it in the morning when I want to start the day right.
There are a number of different fragrances in the range including tea tree, rose, lavender, citrus, and almond.

Summit Men Soap Bar
This is the first of two products that I wanted to share from Summit Men. The Summit is a company that produces 100% natural products from Sandalwood and other natural products found in Vanuatu, a small South Pacific Ocean nation.
For those of you who like using soap bars, these are fantastic. The bars are based on coconut oil and a blend of essential oils. Perfect for washing your beard and face in a natural, nourishing way.

Summit Men Body Buddy
The second product from Summit Men is this wonderful foaming liquid soap. Again it is 100% natural and based on tamanu oil, virgin coconut oil, and a blend of essential oils. My personal favorite is the Sandalwood, Lime & Coconut version. It has a wonderfully fresh lime fragrance which is very refreshing in the shower. I use this body foam for my beard, hair and body.

So in summary, you should definitely try out all of these products at some point. They are the best I have used in my beard and come highly recommended!
