A Travelling Human Library

A Human Library by definition would be a place where you can borrow real people on loan to learn something from them..These living books talk on various subjects, narrate stories with emotions, answer difficult questions and challenge stereotypes.

‘Once, a married Indian woman, mother of a 3yr old, was backpacking alone in the quaint little villages of Japan. As she entered an obscure sushi bar in the village of Takayama, the Japanese looked at her with awe..’

As you read through these lines, you perhaps had the stereotype of an married Indian mother flashing through your mind and causing conflict with what you read..but perhaps if you met me in person you might find it easier to accept just as those Japanese did after a few mins.

That’s just one aspect of borrowing human books to learn from them - they challenge stereotypes and open up your mind. Human to Human learning has immense potential beyond opening up minds. Imagine how interesting stories become when they come from the source.

The idea of unbounded learning from unbounded books is fascinating — a library with books from around the world that keep auto-updating themselves and become richer in content with time. Books that show you how to paint, teach you to play music, to write poems and all else that make life worth living..Books that travel around the world, gathering stories and life experiences for you to benefit from.
