The latest number of cases from 7–13 February 2021 was 52, a drop of 122 from the previous and the first time since September that it has been at it’s lowest.

Cases by neighbourhood also had a great amount of areas in the city which were in the suppressed levels (0–2 cases). Only eight areas of Dundee recorded more than 0–2 cases.

The Scottish Government have announced that the lockdown will continue to the beginning of March. The second lockdown which Scotland is going through has helped the decline in cases in Dundee.

Dundee Culture has continued to encourage Dundonians to stay at home as much as possible in an attempt to help decrease the number of cases. Although it is frustrating, staying at home is a small price to pay if we want to have the number of positive cases declining.

The weekly Stay Safe Dundee briefing will be published tomorrow with the vaccination numbers as well.
