Stay Safe Dundee’s weekly briefings occur each Sunday which provides information on the number of cases, number of people in hospital and ICU and the differences from the week before.

Before heading onto the stats from the last week, new updates have been announced by the Scottish Government which are of important information.

Latest updates

  • Dundee along with the rest of mainland Scotland will be placed into level 4 restrictions from Boxing Day for the next three weeks
  • Restrictions have returned across Dundee and the rest of Scotland over the Christmas period bar Christmas Day where mixing with other households are not permitted
  • School holidays across Dundee and the rest of Scotland will be extended to 11 January where online learning will take place until 18 January
  • V&A Dundee have announced that they will be closing from 24 December (Christmas Eve) from 4pm until further notice

Positive cases (160 | 23 down from last week)

From last week’s weekly briefing, the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Dundee have decreased by 23 to 160.

7 day positive rate (107.2 | 15.4 down from last week)

The 7 day positive rate from the last week has decreased from 122.6 to 107.2 which is a 15.4 decrease from the last week.

Patients in hospital

There are currently 66 patients in hospitals across Dundee and the Tayside area. This is a decrease of 15 from last week.

ICU patients

There are currently no patients in hospitals across Dundee and the Tayside area. This is a decrease of 5 from last week.
