This is a rant about the two-party system in America.

I have been watching (a bit) of the Republican debates. In general, I don’t agree with most of their positions, but I could live with Nikki Haley, Chris Christie and perhaps Tim Scott as my president. They are rational human beings, although not strong leaders.

To me, Trump and Biden don’t count as candidates. They have ceased to be human beings and are simply political animals. They have forgotten to care about the country and are only in it for their own ends. They could’ve been leaders, years ago. Now they just follow the polls in Biden’s case and his own grievances in Trump’s.

However, if you know me, you know I am a bit more progressive than most of them. So a gift for me would be a Democrat to vote for.

The Democratic party won’t let me do that. It has ramrodded me into one lane, labeled Biden or Bust. The way the party is set up doesn’t even permit me to make a choice. The Democrats never allow someone else from the party to run as a challenger to a sitting president. That’s why Robert Kennedy Jr. had to run as an independent. Now I don’t love Robert Kennedy, Jr, the way I loved his father and his uncle, but he had a lot of promise when I heard him on the podcast, mainly because he was willing to put the government through zero based budgeting to help us get rid of the debt.
