Stealth Proudly Invites the Community to Rename Stealth’s Staking Token

We don’t think the name we currently have for Stealth’s revolutionary non-fungible staking token, is worthy of its place in history, help us rename it.

Stealth Quantum Proof-of-Stake (qPoS) has a unique approach to transaction validation, the core functionality of any blockchain system. Using XST, (Stealth’s native currency), transaction validators purchase their rights to process transactions and collect rewards for doing so. These rights are tokenized as non-fungible assets called “stakers”, each of which is given specific slots in a schedule of block validation.

Stealth qPoS also has a novel reputation system for stakers. As stakers sign blocks according to the schedule, they accrue a reputation score called “staker weight”. Weight increases with the square root of the net number of blocks a staker has validated, where “net blocks” means the number of blocks validated minus the number of blocks missed in the schedule. Stakers earn increased rewards proportional to weight. Typically, the more blocks a staker signs, the more it will earn for each block. Additionally, stakers with more weight are considered more trustworthy, and they influence chain trust also proportional to their weight.

While “stakers” is a technically accurate term for the assets & processes described above, the Stealth team invites you to come up with a better one! A term that is unique to Stealth, which we can collectively brand as part of the Stealth community.

Terms & Conditions (The Fine Print)

1. The promotion starts May 1 and ends May 31, 2019
2. Individuals may submit as many entries as they like
3. All entries must be received by email to contact@stealth.org with the subject line “Stakers”
4. The winning and runner-up entries will be selected by the Stealth management team
5. All entries may be published on the Stealth.org website, through the Stealth community channels, and/or through social media
6. Decisions of the Stealth team are final
7. All entries become the property of Stealth R&D LLC
8. Winners will not receive any compensation beyond that provided by this promotional contest
9. Contest terms and conditions are subject to change without notice
