There’s a new coin challenging the upper echelons of the cryptocurrency universe. Steem is the latest coin to make waves on the blockchain. Like Pokemon Go it is growing exponentially. It is almost like reddit and then a lot different. You get paid in crypto to write, comment and vote. I have never seen a social network quite like this. Actually it’s the first of it’s kind. It is a daring unique revolutionary platform seeking to shift the paradigm once again.

I took the plunge as soon I saw this guy promoting it on a youtube video. It was like a light bulb flashed in my head. Something spoke to me about new possibilities and the need to explore the unknown. I quickly got the hang of it. The learning curve is not that high. There are numerous tutorials in postings on the network to guide the noob. The hardest part is to actually withdraw your earnings. There are a number of steps involved. Took me awhile to figure it out.

The incentive of getting paid is a big draw. Nevertheless the social network aspect is far more valuable than the earnings. You get to comment on posts. Upvote/downvote postings. It is a vibrant social network at heart. Best way to get involved is to post original content and participate as much as possible. Without that interaction it is just another speculator platform filled with sharks intent on making a killing in crypto goods.

The Steemit module feels like it was built for longevity. Combining the best of social web interaction and blockchain tech is genius. Mad kudos to the devs who dreamed this up.
