How To Handle Problems

A Short Guide To Approach Problems

We all have problems. We are not perfect and we will never be. We have problems with our bodys, health, relationships, money related or even luxury problems. Anything is possible. What one considers a problem others would probably laugh at. Problems also have categories. There are small problems, medium problems and urgent problems. You see, problems are everywhere.

I have a whole series of posts where I try to inspire people to see things from different perspectives. Because it's always a matter of perspective! And indeed it is. What do you call your standard? Things that need to be there or even absent so that you don't have a problem? If you want to improve your life it's a good idea to raise your standards and try to maintain them.

But sometimes it's also a good strategy to lower your standards for a calculated amount of time. To practice gratitude, to be humble and hopeful when things are getting worse and you are overwhelmed. Sometimes solutions depend more on wonders than on work. Like with really bad illnesses. Then you might want to have the mindset of a fighter and the gratitude of a monk.

How will the story progress? Which directions are possible? What's the worst that could happen? Ask yourself these questions. Most of the time, even the worst possible outcomes are not as bad as you might have felt. To talk about the worst possible outcome can also be the first step to a solution. Imagine a positive end of the story you really want to happen. And then work for that outcome. Reframe your situation as much as you can. Take it as a challenge, a quest to help yourself.

Furthermore you will need to create a plan to take appropriate steps. Go from urgent to small. Take action and focus on the urgent stuff first. That will calm your mind a bit. You don't need to find a solution right now. You just need the idea of control back. There's nothing worse than the feeling of losing control completely.

Control comes back if you have a plan, take immediate action and try to get help if you need to. Don't depend on people who weren't able to cope with their problems in the past. Especially when your problem is related. Depend on people who can handle stuff. Dare to reach them if necessary.

If you approach your problems like that you will most of the time find a solution and eventually a way out. Be patient, ways need time.
