Replay Joins the OVA Family
This newfound acquisition will allow for exciting new opportunities for both parties involved
Montreal, QC, October 18, 2023. It is with great excitement that we announce that OVA has acquired Replay, an EdTech company founded by Simon and Vincent Drouin. Their team has joined us to work on our core product, StellarX.
Since its very beginning, Replay’s mission has been to revolutionize the world of education and corporate training through the power of immersive technologies. Sounds familiar, yes? 😉 Their plan was to reshape training and onboarding processes in corporate and educational environments through interactive VR simulations, leveraging the Quest 3 technology. They were incubated at La Base Entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal, graduating from Parcours Rémi-Marcoux; we ourselves are no strangers to this incubator, as we were part of Accélérateur Banque Nationale. Thereafter, Replay was able to secure several contracts with major players in the academic and corporate fields in less than a year, which is nothing short of impressive for a startup. 👌
The acquisition of Replay by OVA will allow the former to propel their efficiency, and to deliver better on their soon-due contracts. They can now add to their arsenal our 10 years of expertise in the fields of immersive technologies and digital learning, our capable team of XR experts, developers, 3D artists, and learning specialists, as well as our award-winning content creation platform StellarX, which constitutes the perfect base to create XR-ready experiences. We are excited to be working with such an ambitious and driven team with whom we share many values, and to put our numerous resources at their disposal.
