Salmon is a wonderful and well-liked fish in the Pacific Northwest. Salmon is very beneficial for our health. Tuomisto (2020) and colleagues describe the benefits of salmon that contains Omega 3 fatty acids, and vitamin D. De Ross et al. (2021) discuss the benefits of farmed salmon: Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for cell structure and construction in our brain, retina, and sperm. Additionally, they provide energy for the body, and they assist in the formation of eicosanoids. (NIH, 2022)
