The Stepstone Group at OMR2023
On the 9th-10th of May The Stepstone Group was present at OMR2023. It was 2 busy and really fun days with interesting discussions and great coffee (We had a fantastic barista at our booth!).
We wanted to highlight that The Stepstone Group is not just the StepStone job board but also a company with many different products and brands. Most importantly, we wanted to show that we are a tech company and that we are the 2nd most popular tech employer in Germany.
Visitors at our booth could for instance get some great coffee, take a 3D photo or have a look at some of the experiments we are running.
AR
At the booth, you could try out using your camera to identify logos and then interact with the logo to get all open positions at The Stepstone Group Germany.
Hardware is getting better and faster, and maybe (just maybe) the smartphone is about to get downgraded for a fresh pair of AR glasses. While we can’t know, it’s worth investigating the potential for other interfaces and new ways to interact with the world.
For social media, AR has been a natural component for many years that brings the promise of more immersive experiences — this should also apply for jobs. Imagine the potential of AR technology in your own job-seeking journey — maybe you can find jobs and opportunities on the fly. Walking through the mall discovering open positions through your AR glasses perhaps.
With AR, we can give jobseekers quick access to information and a more immersive job-seeking experience.

You could also virtually walk around in our 3D-generated office in Malmö using a Meta quest pro.
We believe that in the future Immersive experiences will be a part of everyone’s life in one way or another. Perhaps in the future you would like to virtually visit the office before you apply for the job.

Interviewer
In our Future Lab, visitors got a chance to try our ground-breaking prototype The Interviewer, which utilizes AI technologies to conduct a mock interview.
The prototype approaches the emotional state of interviewing and offers people a chance to practice their own interviewing skills to feel more empowered and certain of their skills.
