The next time someone (falsely) accuses me of being a hipster, I’m going to mention how much I unironically love pretty much every single song in the Time Life Singers & Songwriters collection, which is currently being so convincingly infomercial’d by Time Life on my TV at the moment.

America, Carly Simon, Cat Stevens, Elton John, Carole King, Seals & Croft, John Denver… this is the good stuff, kids. Even though it was the soundtrack to my dad’s college years and early post-grad years as a radio DJ.

This infomercial is almost convincing me to run out to the phone and buy the ($150!) collection. And I already own almost everything in it. Nice job, Time Life.
